How it all works
Send this to a client, or anyone deciding whether to use it.
The whole thing end to end — how a job gets flagged, agreed, done and reported, and what happens when somebody can't get on.
No sound, and the words are written out under the video.
- A survey is one site visit. You give it a name, the site, the client, and a list of the areas — the yard, the plant room, the corridor. That list becomes the dropdown everybody else picks from, which is what keeps the report tidy later.
- Log a problem with a photo, where it is, what needs doing, how urgent it is, and who it's for. The date to complete is a dropdown: one to five days, a week, two weeks, a month, or pick a date off a calendar.
- The list is live. Add a job at four o'clock and it's on that person's phone at four o'clock. Nothing gets re-sent and nothing goes out of date.
- Everybody on the site can flag what they find — your own lads, the subcontractors, the client. Here is the version that matters most: Dave at Redline Plumbing turns up to run a pipe and nobody has cored the wall. He flags what's stopping him, from inside the job.
- His job pauses on the spot, before you have even looked at it. It stops counting as late, because being held up by somebody else's work isn't his failing — and an overdue figure that blames the wrong man is one nobody trusts.
- Nothing anybody flags becomes a job until you agree it. It waits in one place, marked as holding somebody up, and you say yes — picking who's doing it and by when in the same step — or no with a reason, which sends Dave's job straight back to him.
- Somebody does the core hole, and Dave's job comes back onto his list by itself. No phone call, and nobody had to remember to un-pause anything.
- On the tools it is three buttons when you're finished: Done, Couldn't do it, or Need longer, with a photo and a note.
- Tick one box and your client sees the whole site — what's done, what's left, and the photos. They flag changes the same way anybody else does, and watch them get done.
- The report is the point of all of it. Filter it by who it's assigned to, by where on site, or by what state it's in — and the chart and the numbers move with it.
- Anything that failed, or is waiting on something else, sits at the top with the reason in the worker's own words. Anything flagged but not yet agreed is listed for the record and left out of the figures.
- Put your own logo and colours on it in Settings, then download it as a PDF or a Word document, or email it straight out.
There are two others. Send whichever fits.
- For whoever's running it
Send this to whoever sets up and runs a survey
- For everyone on site
Send this to your lads, your subcontractors, and anyone else on the job
Getting a login
There's no sign-up form, on purpose — whoever runs the survey creates the accounts and passes on the password. If you're expecting access to a site and haven't got it, ask them rather than us.
